FAQS

Ask Me Anything

It’s natural to have tons of questions when considering leaving your beloved pet with a stranger for the first time. To help you, I’ve provided a list of some of the frequently asked questions I'm confronted with below.

Black Dog

My pet needs specialist care and I'm worried about leaving him with someone new...

I will always offer a free of charge meeting before you go away to make sure both you and your pet are happy. I will also give you a form to complete before my stay that I encourage you to complete with as much information as you wish to help me to keep to your pet's routines and training.

I have cameras in my house can I keep them on whilst I'm away?

Of course, I have no problem with owners checking in on their pet/home whilst away. I do however ask there are no cameras in bedrooms/bathrooms.

MY PET NEEDS TO GO TO THE VET. WILL YOU TAKE THEM?

Should I feel your pet requires a vet visit whilst you're away I will first make contact with you to inform you, gain consent and keep you updated at all times and not make treatment decisions on your behalf.

Should your pet need to go to the vets for a routine pre booked appointment I am happy to take them on your behalf with a letter of consent for treatment and do ask you call the practice to inform them before.

(Fuel costs will be charged at extra for trip)

Pet Sitter, dog walker and Veterinary Nurse how do you manage it all?

First and foremost, my job is as a Veterinary Nurse for a great local Veterinary hospital, a job which I really enjoy. This does however currently mean I am unable to take on too many pet sitting jobs throughout the year. I will always try my hardest to see what I can do to help you and your pet. It is often easier for me to manage weekends, single days or just simply helping you out with visits/walking when you may need a hand fitting everything into your schedule. Please don't hesitate to get into contact and I will see what I can do to help.
